We all know that a smoothie is made from blended fruits and/or vegetables. Also, we have the general opinion that all smoothies are healthy and safe for a healthy life. However, that’s not entirely true. I have been drinking fruit smoothies for a while know, and my last doctor’s appointment was shocking. He told me that that much sugar, although is natural, is not good for my organism and it causes problems for my body. So, just to be clear, not all smoothies are healthy for everyone!

But let’s just emphasize one thing before we begin: buy fruits and vegetables and make your own smoothies! Don’t buy them in a supermarket; they are not as healthy as the one’s made with your own hands!

If you are suffering from diabetes, candida (fungus), and your immune system functions strangely or you’re having teeth problems, you should definitely choose vegetable over fruit smoothie. I’m not saying that you should completely forget about “fruithie” but you should consider consuming it less often. Sure, it is not as dangerous as a muffin or a brownie, and you can freely use it as their replacement. However, bear in mind that the fruit smoothie also consists of sugar.
Secondly, let’s talk about the most famous smoothie of our time, particularly consumed by the celebrities. The amazingly effective fat burner and extremely healthy – the green smoothie. You can find recipes all over the internet and by now, you probably know that it consists of green vegetables such as celery, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, collard greens, cucumbers etc. Any combination will turn out to be great and healthy, of course. You can also combine the green vegetables with some fruits, and the final product will be even healthier.
And finally, let’s mention that there are no special instructions on how to make your perfectly healthy and delicious smoothie: all you need is chopped fruits and vegetables, some ice, water and of course, a blender! J
