Prostate cancer symptoms are easily confused with a prostate or urine infection. That’s why you need to beware and get informed about the 12 early symptoms!
Prostate cancer does not manifest in an obvious way in its early phases. Usually the symptoms get mixed up with a regular urine infection. The symptoms of these two conditions are pretty similar. However, there are a few additional symptoms that do not manifest in urine infection, but are purely prostate cancer symptoms.
12 prostate cancer symptoms
Look at the symptoms and see how the first few are similar or even the same as in urine or prostate infection. As you read more, you’ll see some more severe problems which indicate you have a prostate cancer.
- More frequent urge for urinating than usual; especially at night
- Trouble starting, withstanding or stopping urinating
- Disturbing feeling that you’re still holding back a little bit of urine when you stop urinating
- Your stream of urine is weak and there’s constant change of urine color; sometimes accompanied with tingling or itching
- Pain and feeling of burning during urinating
- Blood in your urine
- Swelling or pain in the hips, lower back and/or thighs
- Joint and bone pain that won’t go away
- Blood in your sperm
- Impotence
- Problems with ejaculation
- Pelvic area discomfort
The best thing you could do for yourself is go see a doctor when you experience even one of the first few symptoms. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have a prostate cancer, but better safe than sorry, right? Even if it’s not something as serious as prostate cancer, it’s still disturbing to go through those problems without treating them.
The thing is, when you start experiencing the first few symptoms, it doesn’t mean that they’re caused by cancer. They are a result of the blockage in the prostate. As the cancer progresses, you start experiencing the last few symptoms. Sadly, if the cancer has progressed a lot, you’ll start experiencing the symptoms every other cancer patient has. These include: appetite loss, weight loss, nausea, swellings, tiredness, hair loss etc.
