Is the Paleo diet good for everyone really? That’s the question most people ask whenever they see Paleo diet suggestions.
Highly professional nutritionists claim that the Paleo diet is the best one. Numerous researches are conducted every day on this subject, and many agree it is really healthy and beneficial. What does Paleo diet include? It includes eating grass produced meat, seafood and fish, fruits and veggies, eggs, nuts and seeds, and oils.
Honey, coconut, tea and coffee are also allowed. Anything else besides these foods is forbidden.
So, cereals, legumes, dairy, refined sugar and processed foods, potatoes, salt and refined oils are off the list. But is the Paleo diet good for everyone really? If you belong in one of the categories that follow, you should not even try starting this diet.
Is the Paleo diet good for everyone else really?
Not if you are:
- Fructose intolerant – If you’re fructose intolerant, it means you cannot even try eating fruits. That means, you are going to miss a big part of this diet plan if you eat everything except fruits. The foods in this diet have been carefully chosen for you to intake every single nutrient you need. And without fruits, you’ll have no success whatsoever.
- Diabetic – If you have sugar issues, again, fruits and honey as well as some other foods suggested by this diet are a no-no for you.
- Not a meateater – You’re a vegan, vegetarian or you simply don’t like eating meat. Paleo diet is all about meat and animal protein. So, not a good fit for you.
- Grain lover – You simply cannot imagine your life without grains. Like, you consume them all the time in all of the forms. If you’re a grain lover, don’t torture yourself with this diet.
- Passionate about hummus – Hummus is made of chickpeas, and legumes are not welcomed in the Paleo diet. If you cannot imagine your diet without hummus, then forget about Paleo diet.
- Not rich – The Paleo diet can be pretty expensive. All that meat, eggs, veggies and special healthy oils require a big wallet. If you’re not well-situated, then don’t bother trying this diet. You’ll end up in debts.
