But when we find ourselves working, meeting family or traveling, this is difficult. A good way to achieve relaxation and get rid of nerves and tensions is to do the following exercises:
- Sit on a chair and place your back straight and your feet flat on the floor.
- Continue with your hands: place them on the belly a little higher than the navel.
- Breathe slowly taking a breath through your nose until you feel your belly relax. Feel with your hands as your lungs are filled with each inhalation. This will generate a sense of relief.
- Begin to exhale, release the air through your mouth slowly.
Repeat this exercise at least 20 times and you will feel like your body is freed from nerves and tensions and your heart will start to pump better.

Relieve knotted nerves in the stomach
The stomach is one of the organs where more tension accumulates. It is commonly said that it is like a “second brain” since both are constantly connected by that when our brain feels stress or nerves, this is usually expressed in the stomach by nausea or lack of appetite.
- We will show you below how to relieve stomach aches caused by tensions:
- Stand up and take a breath with your nose. You will notice how your belly begins to swell slowly (as in the first exercise). Once you finish inspiring you must retain the air keeping it for about 5 seconds. This way you will achieve that your spleen stays immobilized; it is there where many nerves are also concentrated.
- After the time passes, begin releasing the air little by little while you raise your shoulders. The ribs will stretch, forcing part of the respiratory system to move.
You must repeat this exercise about 10 times. It is really simple and will give you excellent results. You can do it at any time of the day.

How to release tension in the head and jaw
The last exercise is for those people who have stress accumulating in their face, more precisely in the jaw, nose or forehead.
To alleviate this area you should follow the following steps:
- Once you’re at home you should start by taking a relaxing bath.
- Then lie on the couch having the legs elevated, a little more than the body to promote circulation.
- Now you must concentrate to remove the tension accumulated in the senses and in the forehead. Start raising the eyebrows and keep them in that position for about 10 seconds. Then lower them slowly achieving a relaxation.
- Place your hand in the area of the nasal septum, where the glasses usually lean. Massage using your thumb and then continue doing it with the tips of your fingers in the lacrimal. This will activate the circulation of the face.
- As for the jaws, to relieve them you should close your mouth and press your tongue on your teeth, as if you were pushing them, for about 15 seconds.
- It can also help you to smile excessively because you will move many of the muscles of the face like this. Hold the smile for about 10 seconds, then close your mouth and contract the lips for another 5 seconds.
- Finally, you should repeat the following routine at least 8 times: close your mouth, push your tongue against your teeth, smile and purse your lips.
Important: You will notice how following each of the tips your body will be freed of tensions and nerves generated by stress and you will feel much better!
