Many common diseases are caused by the Candida albicans yeast infection. Diaper dermatitis, thrush, a skin infection or a yeast infection in women, all are due to an overgrowth of yeast fungus.
Although it is not a serious illness, it is important to treat Candida albicans yeast infection as soon as you notice the symptoms. In addition to minimizing discomfort, early treatment reduces the risk of infection spreading and its susceptibility to more serious conditions.
Candida is usually present in the skin and in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract without causing any damage. In women, it is also present in the vagina.
However, overgrowth of Candida can cause Candidiasis, leading to symptoms such as intense itching and redness. It can affect the skin, the mouth, the stomach, the urinary tract and the vagina.
When it affects the mouth, it is called an oral thrush and is characterized by a coating or patches of creamy white in the mouth.
Instead on the skin, it leads to rashes and blisters, especially in the folds of the skin. In vaginal infections, it causes itching and a discharge shed similar to white cheese.
A variety of factors can increase the risk of developing a Candidiasis infection, such as a weakened immune system, a bacterial infection, prolonged use of antibiotics, birth control pills and pregnancy.
People who have diabetes also tend to be more prone to this problem. On the other hand, Candidiasis fungi thrive more in warm, moist areas.
Chronic Candida albicans yeast infections can cause problems like fatigue, dizziness, irritability and poor memory. Whether it is a single instance of chronic infection or recurrence, several simple home remedies can help treat and alleviate symptoms.
