Overstressed – a state that unfortunately a lot of people find themselves in. However, often they’re not aware of it. Read the signs and see whether you belong in that category too!
Stress is a dangerous thing and we all know that. Sadly, in most cases, there’s nothing we can do about it, we just stress a lot. Sometimes for a good reason, sometimes not. However, stress can cause some serious, permanent damage, such as nervous breakdown or anger issues. That’s why we all need to take a step back and evaluate the situation. Here are the signs that show you’re overstressed.
Insomnia and nightmares
What happens during the day, often reflects in our dreams. Most often, in a worse way. So, your bad day turns into dreams which are even worse. Being overstressed during the day causes nightmares and insomnia. This can develop into a chronic problem and happen even when your problems are solved.
No patience with people around you
You’re having problems of your own, so you’re not interested in hearing about other people’s problems. You’re constantly yelling at everybody and you can’t stand people and their issues – yours are the only ones that matter. The consequences are obvious: you might lose the love of your friends, the respect of your coworkers or you could even lose your job.
Unbelievable change in mood
For a second there, you forget about your problems and you’re smiling, you’re at peace. The next second, you remember that you’re such a mess and you don’t deserve happiness. This is when you become grumpy again. People avoid you and you have no idea why. Well, that’s why. No one likes people like that in their surroundings.
There’s no strength left in you
You feel pain all over your body and your soul. You feel like you cannot move, breathe. You’re so tired that you wish nothing, except staring at the wall and thinking about your issues. You lose your appetite. You lose the last piece of hope for solving your problems. There’s simply no life left in you.
Libido loss
When you go to bed, you go to bed to rest. No action whatsoever. Your partner keeps fighting you about it. But you’re cold. That’s the last thing that you have in mind. Your mind is somewhere else. Warning: some relationships, and even marriages, have ended for this cause. Be careful not to abandon your love. Give the best of you and make love.
Well, what else is there to say? We’ve mentioned some stress relief techniques in our previous posts, so, if you found yourself in at least one of these situations, these are all reasons enough for you to consider changing. Change your lifestyle if needed, and stop stressing about everything. Change for your own well-being, but for your partner, friends and coworkers as well. Don’t be so selfish. You’re not the only one with problems. Hear them out, as well, love them, hug them, cheer them up.
